According to the ‘Internet of Things 2018’ study by software manufacturer SAP, one in five companies (21.1%) already uses the ‘Internet of Things’ (IoT) in practice. Physical products and corresponding services will be or are already inextricably linked in the future. For example, the manufacturer of a cleaning company' s devices and systems no longer only links its products as such, but also networks them with a service cloud. Buyers can thus locate their products in a clear dashboard, avoid underutilisation and optimize charging rhythms via the battery status.
